The cover of this month's Give Us This Day is a picture of a white robed figure in a swirl of colors. The artist, Daniel Bonnel, titles it, Jesus Walking On The Water, Contemplating. Jesus has spent the night in prayer on the hill. He is still lost in contemplation as he moves over the water.. The commentator points out that one of Webster's definitions of contemplation is, "a state of mystical awareness of God's being," a beautiful and inviting notion of contemplating.
I'm still waiting for a lab report that would tell us what kind of melanoma is attacking my lung. That will determine what medicine we will use to shrink it, Please keep praying,

This man was a saint. Not in the Vatican's declarations, but in real life. He taught Love, He taught GOD. He understood history, what was written, and had a view of life that should impact us all. A resistance to rules that went against GOD's reason. He....understood.
I loved him. I wished I knew him better. He was special. He will always be special to me. He is with his maker now, and we all will be less for the loss.
Yes the loss is felt deep in our hearts but we must rejoice in our good fortune for having known and been inspired by him.
Fr. Paul, we are going to miss your insight, your spiritual leadership and the love of God that you shared with us. We cannot imagine not having you with us. I know that you are happy in your new home. We mourn for ourselves

Paul, you found me on the road to Emmaus in 1968 at Bishop Walsh High School and again in 2020 on Hazelhurst Road the evening before you went home. Thanks for all the walks on the road in between and most importantly for teaching me how to pray and spend time with LOVE.
Fr. Paul, thank you for all your inspiration and the way you reached out to people. Thank you so much for everything you did. Our lives are better for having known you. Peace to all who knew him and miss him.
Father, you might not remember me. I was your altar boy at St Mary’s. At St Maria, you taught us to question. You introduced wine to the Mass. You were so far ahead. God bless.
