Epiphany

This feast is an invitation and a warning.   The Magi accepted the invitation of the star and went in search of a God.  Herod and his crowd failed to heed the warning.  They knew all that there was to know about God and missed the revelation.  All our lives are a search, even in our own backyard, for a better understanding of God.

Happy New Year!

The new year came in yesterday morning at 3 degrees.  2 this morning, but it got up to 16 today with a very sunny day.  I spent several hours reading and praying in a room with a whole wall of glass facing south.  The Lake froze fast these last few days and looked beautiful in today's sunshine.
This past year has been a good gift from God, especially the recent insight into Love already flowing, available to us.   I hope God will help me in the year ahead to rethink how to present our Christian faith in that light.
